Fall Prevention / Strength and Balance Improvement

By the 2011, just about every Adult Day Center in the State of Washington will offer an evidence-based,  fall prevention program.  Participants in the class will improve their balance, reduce their risk for falling and become stronger and more confident.

Different programs are offered at different centers, depending on the needs of the community; but, all programs are “evidence-based,” which means they have proven to be effective.   The list of programs offered includes, but is not limited to:

  • Matter of Balance
  • S.A.I.L. (Stay Active & Independent for Life)
  • Enhanced Fitness
  • Sit & Be Fit
