Seattle, WA 98144
Workshop Summary:
Death is a natural part of life. Yet, most people are
uncomfortable discussing end-of-life issues. End-of-life
preparation needs to start long before a crisis so that clients
– and we -- can maintain choice and understand our options. In
this course, we’ll talk about:
-
Recognizing issues and fears of death and
mortality
-
Tools for starting a conversation with
clients and their families
-
Hospice philosophy, services and benefits
Five Wishes®, a unique living will document for expressing
one’s wishes for end-of-life
-
Different cultural perspectives and
approaches towards end-of-life issues
