Workshop Summary:
Please join Susan as she shares activity programming ideas from
her 26 years of experience as an Activity Professional. You will
learn how to plan activities for all levels and populations,
including Dementia care and hear about 50 (at least) ideas that
work! Susan will show how to provide quality activity
programming that is citation-free and loved by the residents she
serves. This session is great for Activity Directors and
Assistants who want to add zest to their activity calendar!
Susan uses enthusiastic lecturing to teach and provides examples
of resources that participants can see and touch firsthand.
Presenter:
Susan Rauch, BA, ACC
Susan received her Bachelor’s Degree from Washington State
University in Social Work. She has worked as an Activity
Professional in long term care since 1984 in a variety of
settings: retirement, assisted living and skilled nursing care.
Currently, Susan is the Activity Director at Martha and Mary
Health Services in Poulsbo, Washington and serves as the
President of the National Association of Activity Professionals.
CEUs:
This program meets accreditation standards (3 hours) for
Professional Guardian Board for “person” credits and other
professional licensing and certification boards including
Activities and Occupational Therapy.
